as kelly clarkson performs the punk hit "since you've been gone," i wonder why she doesn't get electrocuted. as she and her fans are doused in water. hmm. mtv video music awards were a sure fire bore this year. how did that happen? (oh, i just realized if you're white and blond, you either have to co-opt hip hop like ahsley and jessica simpson or "punk" like kelly clarkson. [no, they're not the only ones])
